Sharon says the beach is only a few minutes away by car and you can even walk there if you want to enjoy the scenery. The nearest beach 🏖️ boasts two ouzeries/cafeterias 🍸 where one can taste real octopus-meze, squid and drink ouzo, whilst taking-in the beautiful picturesque scenery of Kotronas Bay. The historic town of Areopolis 🏛️ is only 15 minutes by car with tavernas and souvenir shops and the pretty harbour of Githio is approximately 35 minutes away. Githio offers plenty of fish tavernas all along the harbour, which is delightful when lit-up during the evening. After a decade as a wildlife assistant, Liz Martin resigned this week from volunteering with WIRES, demoralized by what she sees as a head office war against its own members. Wildlife cages at his home in northwest Sydney have provided shelter for more than 400 possums and gliders over the years. They are now empty, and five ring-tailed possums that have recently returned to the wild will be the last group to breed.
