Over a Thousand New People Like Us Founders

Well, wasn’t that a fortnight! 😃

The end of one thing, the beginning of another.

And not so much sleep! 😂

At the start of this period, I set some big goals.

I set a 3 year period for becoming the world’s best home exchange community.

I set some goals for how big I think we can be in 3 years.

Over 3 times the size we are now!

All the while, maintaining our boutique, small-community, friendly feel.

Thinking about our values and our principles, and making sure we stick to them.

Bigger is not necessarily better but it’s important for choice.

We can be both bigger and better!

This fortnight has given us a platform from which to build.

We have 1140 new People Like Us Founders!

I understand that Covid has hit some of us harder than others, and that travel is further off for some of us too.

After a decade as a wildlife assistant, Liz Martin resigned this week from volunteering with WIRES, demoralized by what she sees as a head office war against its own members. Wildlife cages at his home in northwest Sydney have provided shelter for more than 400 possums and gliders over the years. They are now empty, and five ring-tailed possums that have recently returned to the wild will be the last group to breed.
